Roberto Abreu ("Cyborg")

We are fortunate to have Roberto join us from Campo Grande MS Brazil as head instructor. He brings one of jiu-jitsu's finest resume's with him. His impressive list of titles include, among others, the Brazillian championship, South American championship, Pan American championship and European championship. This list is topped off with three world championships. As if this were not enough, Roberto is also the Brazilian heavyweight national wrestling champion and a member of the national team. If Roberto's talent on the mat were not enough, he has also produced countless champions as a coach. Roberto's fighting career in the United States has continued demonstrate his skill, including Absolute victories at Grapplers Quest, NAGA and a recent championship at the Dogfight in Dover over an invitational field of blackbelts.

His students at FightSports have, likewise, shone brightly winning numerous titles under his expert instruction throughout the United States and the world.

"SUGAR BABY" ROJAS

FightSports is proud to have "Sugar Baby" Rojas join our team as boxing coach and instructor .Considered one of the "All time greats" of his division ,this two time world champion is now teaching group classes on Tuesday and Thursday and is available for private lessons as well.

Ricardo Nogueira

Also brings his multitalented game to the academy. Holding black belts in bouth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay-Thai, this ring savvy MMA veteran will be lending his extraordiray energ and ability to our kickboxing and MMA classes. It is with pride that we welcome him.

Paul Sack

Paul is the owner and assists in teaching the fundimentals classes. He holds a black belt in Tae Kwon, Do awarded by Master Jong Sae Lee and a black belt in Brazillian jiu-jitsu. Paul is a multiple time record holder in the RegionIX 100kg. weight class in the bench press. The school is a product of a lifetime love affair with the martial arts.

Eliana Carotta - Bio

By trying to adapt to a way of life far from all her references in Brazil, Eliane Carotta found at her mat the healing powers of Yoga.

In 2002 she became a certified Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Instructor with Reed Taylor (It’s Yoga South Beach) and started a journey of studies that include Hatha, Iyengar, Yogic Arts and Vinyasa Flow.

Some of her muses and masters are Bobbi Goldin, Duncan Wong, Mark Whitwell, Seane Corn, Shiva Rea and Shri Yogi Hari, that influenced her style called Vinyasa Flow.

Her practice and classes are also strongly influenced by her uncondicional love for the animals and mother nature, her vast experience in social work and also her studies (from Brazil) in Natural Healing as Aromatherapy, Ayurveda, Cromotherapy, Reiki, Sound Therapy, and Xamanism.

Marcel Goncalves

Joins our team with an extraordinary competative record. Marcel has already won his state championship five times and hold the Brazilian, South American and American absolute championships. This remarkable young fighter has already placed second at the World Championships.

Marcel has also dedicated himself to spreading his commitment to jiu-jitsu to our young students.Marcel heads FightSports outstanding children's program and is well on his way to producing young, disciplined champions in this country.

During his brief time at FightSports South Beach, Marcel has continued his own fighting career, piling up championship trophies in both open and invitational competition.

Jake Mackenzie

Fight Sports South Beach is also honored to have Jake Mackenzie join us from Canada. Another young gun, Jake has already notched victories in the Rio state championships,U.S. Open championship, Olympia Cup and is a gold medalist in the Pan American games. Jake recently returned to us from Brazil, where he continued his training and winning ways, taking on all competition.
