Master Francisco Albuquerque "Toco" co-founder of Nova Geracao (New Generation) has stated that the basis of his teaching is a solid foundation of jiu-jitsu in an atmosphere of friendship and respect. Each student and teacher works together in a spirit of cooperation and success. It is Master Toco's goal that the school should become the student's second house. It is from this vision that FightSports South Beach proudly joins the New Generation team. Master Toco and his partner, Rodrigo Medgiro, have created and trained with some of greatest champions of Brazillian jiu-jitsu. Master Toco himself was trained by and awarded a black belt by the legendary Carlson Gracie. This high level instruction is now available in the Miami/Miami Beach area.

After two decades of producing legendary fighters in Brazil, our students now have the opportunity to learn the greatest martial art/self defense programs in the world. Our program is open to everyone from beginners to professional mixed martial artists. It is for children and adults, men and women. Our instructors have competed successfully at all levels including the world championships. We offer a mixed martial arts program that is second to none. Our curriculum incorporates Brazilian jiu-jitsu, submission grappling, takedowns and striking to create the recognized most effective athlete.

Students when selecting a martial arts academy should be careful to enroll in a program where the instructors have competed and won at the highest levels, not at a school where the instructors have merely had their photographs taken with successful fighters from other schools.
